Coming to El Remanso isn't just about staying in a beautiful place — it's about immersing yourself in the rhythm of Patagonia. So you don't miss a thing, we put together this list of the seven experiences you need to have in order to say you truly experienced this place.

1. Fly Fishing

The Puelo is world-famous for its waters, and here, fishing is a must. Whether you're an expert or just starting out, searching the river's corners for Chinook Salmon, Rainbow Trout, or Brown Trout is an experience in patience and total connection with the current.

2. Bird Watching

You don't need to be an expert ornithologist to be amazed. Just by paying attention, you'll see the Kingfisher fly over the river, hear the "tap tap" of the Magellanic Woodpecker on tree trunks, or spot the majestic flight of the Condor high above. The biodiversity here surrounds you constantly.

3. Horseback Riding

There's no better way to get to know the terrain than on horseback, local-style. Crossing streams, climbing mountains, and following trails that cars can't reach lets you see the landscape from another perspective — much slower and more authentic.

4. Trekking and HikingIf you love walking, the Puelo area is a paradise. Our three favorite spots to explore are:

  1. Lago Las Rocas: a magazine-worthy spot with crystal-clear waters.

  2. Lago Azul: famous for its intense color and absolute tranquility.

  3. Llanada Grande Waterfall: an impressive waterfall that reminds you of the power of nature in this region.

5. Bike Rides

For those who prefer two wheels, cycling the nearby roads is ideal. It's the perfect balance between a bit of exercise and enjoying the fresh air, reaching hidden corners with the freedom to stop wherever you like.

6. Rest and "Remanso"

Sometimes the best thing you can do is nothing at all. The Lodge is designed for exactly that: reading a good book by the fireplace, daring to take a brave dip in the river's crystal-clear waters, or simply enjoying the fine-wood facilities. Luxury also means having time for yourself.

7. Food and Fire

The day doesn't end when the sun goes down. The seventh must-do is enjoying the local cuisine. A traditional wood-fire asado, local vegetables, and good conversation around the fire is exactly what you need to end a perfect day at El Remanso.
